FAQs

In short, cost varies. Our basic set-up fee is $50.00. This covers most engravings, such as a line of text on a gold ring, or initials on a gun. However if a customer has multiple engravings of the same kind, such as 5 of the same lines of text on 5 rings of the same size, the first ring is $50.00 and the additional rings would be $15.00 each.
These prices can vary because every project is different. Some engravings require more depth and longer machine time. The less time it takes, the lower the price.
Larger projects, such as signs, full coverage on firearms, and interior/exterior design elements, are priced on the amount of space needed to be engraved. Best to send us an email (info@lonesentinel.com) or call us (406-215-7422) to get a quote.

Some engravings, such as jewelry and other small engravings that do not need design work, currently take 2-3 days. Other engravings, such as full coverage designs (scrollwork) on items or interior design elements can take longer. This all depends on the individual requirements for the project. It is best to contact us for a time estimate.

You can only if you intend to use our engraving services.

If the project needs designing, it's $60 per hour of design time. The slide itself, if you want full coverage on every relief it’s roughly $300-500 depending. Getting an engraving costs about as much as a tattoo, it's just a tattoo for your gun.

Yes and no. We cut most materials (wood, plastics, metal and other synthetics.) However when most people think of laser cutting they think of cutting through large pieces of metal. We can cut through metal, however it is limited in size (roughly 6 in sq.)

Engraving removes material without penetrating all the way through the material.
Marking is a less invasive surface alteration, much like etching.
Cutting penetrates through the material.

Yes. Lone Sentinel employees have backgrounds in design. In many cases we have worked with customers to help them realize the full potential of their ideas.
